Events

I am a creative educator and speaker with over 20 years of experience in schools and leadership. I now help people and groups rediscover the joy of making, wearing, and owning their own style—without the strict rules. I am the co-host of a podcast with 4 seasons and a thriving Youtube channel. Here you can find out about my talks, in person sewing socials and events coming up.

MY SIGNATURE TALKS (2026):

1) Be Your Own Crafting Best Friend

2) Finding the Joy in Sewing - Beyond the Old Style Patterns

3) Live Podcast event - Share your sewing confessions, secrets and dilemmas

I am available for WI meetings, Guilds, Library talks, and Wellness events. My talks are warm, funny, and visually rich, featuring samples from my own studio.

Southern Sewcial

A circular badge with a purple background featuring a simple black line drawing of a sewing machine at the center. The outer ring of the badge has the text "Made at the Southern Sewing" written in black uppercase letters.

Why not come and spend the day sewing/crafting with like minded people. 6 protected hours. From 10am to 4pm (arrive and leave when you like).

This is not a taught session. It is a space to bring whatever you projects you like and have the space and time to work on your projects. Your fellow sewing sewcial friends will encourage, support and often share their advice and experience. We have a mixture of new sewists and those with experience, everyone is welcome.
